This Privacy Policy explains how Ampivo Smart Technologies Pvt. Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the AgriTech mobile application (also marketed as the "Avio Kisan Setu") on Android and iOS (the "App").

This Policy is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, and the Google Play User Data policy.

The App is intended for farmers, sellers, local dealers, distributors, and buyers in India who are at least 18 years of age. The App is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We collect only the information needed to operate the features you use. We do not sell your personal information.

• Precise device location (latitude/longitude) — only if you grant location permission. Used to show local weather and to associate your account with the correct district/state. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings; if you do, location-dependent features will not work or will fall back to your saved state/district.
• Photos you choose from your library — only when you tap an upload control (e.g., profile picture). We do not access your photo library in the background.
• Basic technical data needed to deliver API responses — IP address, request timestamps, language header. Standard server-side logs are retained for security and debugging.

• We do not integrate any analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Sentry, Crashlytics, Meta SDK, Google Ads).
• We do not access your contacts, microphone, camera (we use your photo library only for profile pictures), SMS, call logs, or device identifiers beyond what the operating system supplies for a normal API request.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

We use the data above to:

1. Create and secure your account (OTP verification, login, profile management).
2. Show you weather updates relevant to your location.
3. Show you mandi (market) prices for your state and district.
4. Help you discover and read government schemes.
5. Let you list crops for sale and connect with buyers within the App.
6. Provide help content through the in-app chat/topics feature.
7. Present the App in your chosen language.
8. Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We process your personal data on the following bases under the DPDP Act and other applicable laws:

• Your consent, which you provide when you sign up, grant a permission, or submit information.
• Performance of the service you have requested (e.g., delivering weather for your district).
• Compliance with a legal obligation (e.g., responding to a lawful government request).

You can withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 8. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before withdrawal.

We do not share your personal data with any other third party, except:

• Government or regulatory authorities when required by a lawful written request.
• Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case you will be notified.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider. The servers may be located in India or in other jurisdictions. Where data is transferred outside India, we will ensure transfers comply with applicable law.

• Account data (name, phone, email, profile, crops): kept for as long as your account is active.
• Crop listings: kept until you delete them or close your account.
• Server access logs: typically kept for up to 90 days for security and debugging.
• Backups: may persist for up to 30 days after deletion before being overwritten.

When you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Subject to applicable law (including the DPDP Act), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated personal data — you can edit most fields directly in the Profile screen of the App.
• Withdraw consent for any optional permission (e.g., location, photo library) via your device settings.
• Delete your account and the personal data associated with it.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act.
• File a grievance with us using the contact details below. If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your personal data, including:

• All communication between the App and our servers occurs over HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using the operating system's secure storage APIs.
• Access to backend systems is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

For the App to function offline and remember you between sessions, we store the following on your device using the platform's standard local storage (AsyncStorage):

• An authentication token (so you do not need to log in every time).
• A copy of your user profile (name, contact, profile picture URL, location, crop preferences).
• Your selected language.
• Whether your profile setup is incomplete.

You can clear this data at any time by signing out, uninstalling the App, or clearing the App's storage in your device settings.

As stated in Section 1, the App is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that data promptly.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, 2023, the Grievance Officer is:

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you within the App and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the App after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
